The appropriate sample route depends on the project stage. A visual or dimensional prototype may support early evaluation, while a tool sample is used to assess the intended molding process. A pre-production sample should represent the agreed material, color, logo, assembly and packaging as closely as the project allows.

Create an approval checklist
Before receiving samples, define what will be checked. Record critical dimensions, acceptable appearance, functional expectations, color reference, logo artwork, packaging components and any required tests. Comments should be specific and linked to the drawing or photo. A simple “approved” message without version control can create avoidable risk.
Revisions and re-sampling
If a sample does not meet the agreed criteria, the cause and corrective action should be identified before a new sample is produced. Changes to the design, material, color, logo or packaging can affect cost and timing. We confirm the impact before proceeding.
Approval before mass production
The production reference should be clearly recorded. Where practical, the approved sample, drawing revision, color standard, artwork file and packaging specification are retained as the basis for quality checks. Approval does not remove the need for the buyer to verify product suitability and market requirements.
